New age of aesthetic medicine arrives at Dubai Cosmetic Surgery
The leading aesthetic medicine provider in UAE has leaped onto a new level and age in aesthetics by exclusively introducing unique and revolutionary procedures to its vast treatments portfolio.
UAE, DUBAI: This new age of aesthetic medicine is all about using our own regenerative properties to reverse aging and revitalise ourselves through Acell, Growth Factors, Extracellular Matrix (ECM) and Stem Cells.
Acell Hair Regeneration
After the introduction of Stem Cell FUE hair transplant technique introduced a few months back turned out to be a big success, Dubai Cosmetic Surgery is now adding another better and more efficient technique to their portfolio of hair restoration services.
Although the procedure is not only restricted to hair restoration, compared with other anti-hair loss techniques, it is currently one with the best outcome. According to Dubai Cosmetic Surgery Operations and Business Development Manager who is also the Head of Hair Transplant Department at the clinic, Ms Anisa Vrabac, the Acell hair regeneration therapy is a less invasive procedure that is used, among other things, to treat hair loss.
“Acell Hair Regrowth therapy uses a material known as Extracellular Matrix (ECM) which if injected into the roots of transplanted hair during hair transplant, it allows for the regrowth and reproduction of hair follicles leading to more hair density over a short period of time, in addition to faster healing of the donor area,” explains Ms Anisa adding that with this technique, replanted grafts can more than triple in numbers with a period of less than 6 months because the ECM scaffold allows our own DNA mapping to heal, regenerate and replicate the follicles.
“This is because Acell activates stem cells within the human DNA which promote localized cell growth effective for wound healing and regeneration, leaving minimal or no scar behind,” says Ms Anisa. She adds: “When injected, the Extracellular Matrix attracts increased stem cells and blood supply, and as a result duplicates the ability of the human tissue to regenerate by replicating our DNA mapping.”
In one study commissioned by the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery, 127 hair follicles were soaked in the ECM and then cut into individual grafts before placement. Six months later, the grafts grew into 550 terminal hairs.
“This study shows that this latest technique (Acell) is best for reviving thinning hair by reversing the thinning process through ECM.”
As mentioned earlier, the technique is not only restricted to hair regeneration, but is used within other areas of the body. “There are cases where Acell has been used to regenerate a finger that was cut off by accident, as well as the tip of the nose and the ear. At Dubai Cosmetic Surgery, we will also use Acell for other cosmetic procedures like scar revision, in addition to hair restoration.”
The benefits of hair restoration using Acell therapy, notes Ms Anisa, include intensified density, faster regeneration and healing of the harvested region and faster growth of the transplanted hair (within 6 months) compared with other techniques which can take up to 12 months.
“Those not ready for invasive Hair Transplant, Acell has the ability to reverse, revive and regenerate thinning hair,” advises Ms Anisa.
Available from December 2014, this new technique will be one of its kind, and Dubai Cosmetic Surgery is currently the only cosmetic surgery clinic in the region exclusively offering the Acell hair regeneration.
Stem Cell Facelift
Recognised as the latest and most effective lunch hour Face Lift, Stem Cell Facelift offers complete facial rejuvenation that is an alternative to the traditional surgical procedure. And since aging is a way of life and we cannot out run it, this new minimally invasive technique promises fast results with less down time in addition to shaving up to 10 years off your face. And as Ms Anisa would say, it’s a facelift procedure worth watching out for in 2015.
Also recently introduced at UAE’s premier cosmetic surgery clinic – Dubai Cosmetic Surgery, the procedure also revolutionises a normal facelift as we know it. According to Ms Anisa, Stem cell Facelift works by transplanting harvested adipose cells, which have been shown to be rich in human stem cells.
“This revolutionary anti-aging procedure is the first of its kind to quickly restore skin tightness and youthful contours combined with an evened skin tone through autologous cellular therapy, which is rich in the person’s own cells,” she explains.
Ms Anisa adds that the regeneration of the collagen is promoted through combining the adult stem cells with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), which work together to rejuvenate and restore volume. “This combination reverses aging to their powerful regenerative properties.”
According to Ms Anisa, by using one’s own stem cells to contour and firm the face, all the potential risks of an allergic reaction are eliminated making it ideal for anyone in need of a facelift.
The treatment, which is done as an in-office procedure, takes between 45 minutes to one hour under local anaesthesia, and recovery takes about a week. The results last up to 5 to 10 years, depending on a person’s lifestyle and genetics.
